Two RTF Racing drivers competed in the Ohio Valley Sprints at Mid-Ohio. Jack Baruth finished second in a strong STU class on Sunday, while Jack and Charley Baruth took a strong finish and an uncontested win in the mixed-class enduro race on Saturday afternoon.
With support from Albany Autoworks and crew chief Jon Shevel, the #18 Plymouth Neon finished on the podium in both Saturday and Sunday’s sprint races. In the hour-long Saturday-afternoon endurance race, Charley ran thirty-eight minutes in the first stint before handing over to Jack for the finish. “We had no direct competition in class,” she explained, “so I thought it would be worthwhile to practice a no-fuel enduro driver change”.
Jack, Charley, and the Albany Autoworks Neon will return to Mid-Ohio in October.
